"As a prior horse owner but now a full time mom, I try to give myself a riding lesson once a week for fun.  I've been at Oak Pointe riding for almost 3 years and I've accomplished so much with the little time I've ridden.  Jeanne Tuzik has been my instructor and she has been a very supportive and encouraging teacher.  Sometimes I invented my own lessons, she doesn't stop me, but opens the door and lets me learn. She never pushes or demands, or stands in your way.   If you’re not ready, she trys something different that builds your confidence back up until you’re ready to try the fearful things again.  All the people I met down there are so supportive too.  They shared  their own stories of failures, frustrations and tears and it's OK to feel that way.   They let you know that you’re not alone, they've been there before too.   The day I wanted to quit, I didn't because I didn't want to let them down, they believed in me more than I did myself.  I came there to learn to jump and not only did I do that but I did it bareback and without reins!   
When I'm 90 years old, sitting in a wheel chair, I'll look back, remember Oak Pointe and smile with pride.  I'll think about my dream to jump, Jeanne and the schooling horses and how it felt to really fly....."

 I heard about Oak Point Stables via "word of mouth" as I was looking for a reputable facility operated by a person who truly cares for horses. The best decision I 've made regarding facilities was to board at Oak Pointe Stables. The facility is incredible with a new roof, a fabulous and comfortable observation room and most importantly Jeannie. I can call her 24 hours a day and she will pick up the phone and address my question. The facility is beautuful, close to riding trails, the boarders are friendly and Oak Pointe Stables has family events for the children once a month while the parents enjoy the warm and comfortable observation room upstairs with food and friends. I highly recommend this facility as there is not one in Southeast Michigan that comes close to Oak Pointe Stables. In addition, Jeannie is one of the best trainers that I have ever seen. She is patient, extremely knowledgeable and truly cares for the student and the horse. If you are looking to board, this is the best facility!
